The type specimen book showcases the distinctive typeface, Whyte Inktrap, crafted by Dinamo. While ink traps were traditionally used in print to enhance readability by creating intentional negative spaces in characters, Whyte Inktrap innovatively extends this concept into the digital realm. It seamlessly blends retro-style typographic elements with a modern sans-serif design, infusing the font with a sense of nostalgia that resonates in the digital age.

The negative spaces within Whyte Inktrap's letterforms evoke patterns reminiscent of a game hub, while the arrow symbol in its design evokes memories of the popular Dance Dance Revolution (DDR) game from the late 90s. This incorporation of ink traps imbues the typeface with a dynamic quality, mirroring the energetic spirit of DDR.
